Art comes in many forms and does many things.

For me, Rosanna by Toto instantly transports me back to the carefree summer days of ‘82 when I was 10, in the backseat of our monstrosity of a frost-green Ford LTD station wagon, banging our way across the American West.

How about your favorite author?

Pretty much anything by John Steinbeck carries me home to the rolling hills, oaks, and sycamore trees of Northern California.

I believe a painting should do the same.

My goal is to create one scene that speaks to one person. If I can create a painting that evokes a feeling, triggers the senses, or pulls you back to a nostalgic time, experienced only by you, I’ve succeeded in creating a beautiful painting — not for me, but for you.
